Don't tempt me!

Other than engine, I thought it seemed a pretty good deal for the money especially when you compare to the other few on there.

Think it needs a bit more than 120bhp! - What would you get out of a 2.0l pinto?

would be to much of a winter mod to change to a zetec, go buy it you know you want to, the 1.6 wont be slow you know.

If the car is 120bhp with a 1.6 engine it wont be slow.
However for an upgrade i would skip the 2.0ltr pinto and put a zetec in. The BHP per £ spent would me more benafical.

Buy it, collect the bits over the summer for an upgrade and do an engine swap in the winter.

A standard 2.0 pinto with a standard carb is rated to be about 98-100bhp.

It's an easy mistake to make I know, but I'm sure what you meant to ask was;

and how easy would it be to swap to a bike engine?

Wasn't it?

Phil

For ease a 2 litre pinto as everything on the 1.6 will bolt on, the zetec is more challenging zorst on other side so more money and fueling injection bike carbs or throttle bodies.

although i must admit the power output of that 1600 pinto is good and you would have to throw a bit of cash at a good cammed 2 litre pinto to exceed the 150hp.

The car is well priced and in my opinion for what its worth the extra £1K plus would be worth it to fit the lighter zetec.

I saw the car at stoneleigh last year and if i was in the market for one i would buy it

I have enough trouble with car engines let alone bikes! Although someone sent me a link to a Z-cars mini with a bike engine which was totally bonkers!
