How much for angle iron?

Going to make an additional bench for the office, sorry garage.

How much is a reasonable price for angle iron to make the frame from?

Intention is to put it on wheels and hide engines beneth it. Got the work top from a friends kitchen, just need the metal / wheels / time now.

IMO you would be better off building it from 50x25mm box, be a lot sturdier.

Not much help was it?

haven't got either the wood or the 50x25mm

i assumed angle would be cheaper & it would mean i get to play with my aldi special arc welder!

50mmx25mm ..... so whats the rough cost per m?

I think when we ordered some a few months back it was about £15-20 for a 6.5 metre length of 50x25x1.5mm. Phone one of the local steel stockholders and ask

the plan is to lose the engine stand and make a bench to go over the engine that is under the stand - therefore increasing the amount of space i have.

Have to admit, keep thinking why am i fooling myself i'll ever finish the car

then again, i've got the whole weekend to myself - think i've just decided i'm spending it in the garage

Just bought some yesterday from AC steels in Burton on Trent
18 metres 40x40
12 metres 25x25

came to £45

He also offered ALL the ERW for a Roadster, for £70, so well worth a visit

Mention my name I might get more discount next time
