My modified dials :D

a while back "Rayward" gave me a set of Lexus dials, which i thought looked pretty good but i didnt like the "lexus" badge on them so i set about modifying them, ive changed the backlighting from orange to blue and in the process of pulling them appart this happend to them

Badge shamelessly ripped off a google image search so if its owner objects to me using it i will of course remove it

what do you all reckon?

Matt

Matt

They look really good - one question tho - how are you going to drive them in terms of sensors and lcd etc, as surely they need the ECU from the Lexus...?

Cheers

did you have to remove the pointer to get the white label on?

If it is a mechanical speedo, you may have messed up the calibration if you have reffited needle in not exaclty the smae place. - not sure about this - but the needle is held in place by a coil spring and you may have moved its resting place.

if you know how many mphs you are fast.slow, you can reposition the needle.

the speedo is sensor driven, from magnets or similar

Nice, but I would have removed the MPG gauge. It'll only make you smile / cry.

Plus, I don't think the mpg gauge goes low enough at 0!
