xflow oil catch tanks? breathing etc
what needs to be changed on the breathing side for a kent?
basically a shop modified my rocker cover - added two pipe fittings to it, one towards the back of the motor just going down into the original
breather thingy place - returning oil to the sump
and one towards the front that has a little filter on
problem is if you give it stick for a few hundred meters and slam on the brakes, all the oil blows out the pipe with the little filter on as the oil
slams to the front of the rocker cover
should i fit a catch tank or something?
i blew out quite a bit of oil easy 300-400ml

that set up isn't going to wokr very well.
in original form, the breather on the block took fumes to the air cleaner where they would be sucked in to the engine and burnt off.
as you have ti now those fumes go into the ricker cover.
so what do you do?
block off the air filter you have now, fit the breather back on to the block, take a tubre from it to a tank and same for the roockjer coer.
the filter is then fitted to the tank.

Thats what we ran last year as well, Burton does an Ali adpater for the block breather, its not huge money and means you can do away with the awful
tin job originally fitted that has a blow back flap i think?
