Bec Test In North Yorkshire
Is there any kind BEC owners in North Yorkshire (i'm about 20 miles north of York) that would be able take me out for a quick spin so i can see
what a BEC is like.
I currently have a Pinto powered 7 and cannot decide whether to go BEC or more modern CEC.

Ask Mookaloid to take you out in his Pinto MK. It is quite an experience - rather surprising how fit a tuned Pinto can be.
Alistair in Northallerton will be able to work wonders on your engine for similar money to what a basic 16V conversion will cost and you may end up
with better power etc. A lad in my town is getting AMAC to do him a 2.1 as we speak - looking forward to seeing what the result is.

Just replied
Unfortunately it is SORNed at the moment so not really an option at the moment.
Darren will be better able to say how much difference there is as he has been in his and mine.
Have a look here
Cheers

Hi
if you can make it, come to York raceway on Sunday, loads of bec's will be there, plenty of opportunity to talk to owners and get a ride. Try to
bring a helmet.

The meet is at the Angel in Ackworth near Pontefract, on the A638 about 1/2 mile towards Wakefield from where it crosses the A628. 7.30 I think (not
sure as I always seem to get there late - long way to go!).
See post in events called Yorks meet

All cars have the place. And i agree BECs are great. I just like CEC's.
Im just waiting for Mark to get his finger out and go for a new engine so i can have his old one
i profess to needing to learn to drive fast but our 2 engines really are chalk and cheese - no comparison. there is life in the Pinto yet. If you have
one already its worth thinking about an upgrade / chat to alistair first.

I have to say Mark's looks like a handful of a Pinto.
What has been done to it to achieve that kind of performance?
