Coilover Length

I am looking to purchase some coilovers with a length at ride-height of 12.2". I have been recommended a coilover woith an open length of 14" and closed length of 10". This gives me coilover travel of 2.2" on compression and 1.8" on rebound. This doesn't seem much, is this correct? Is this similar to what everyone else has? Thanks.

that would be fine, infact 1.8" of droop will be enough to leave your springs loose on the shock. IMHO 13" open would be better, but YMMV.
