I bought a part built with only a few quid to be spent on it to finish! Yeh right, try £1500 and its not finished yet!!

You start off locost then you see loads of nice new bits then bang!!

Actually, that's often how things work. One two occasions I can remember I woke up having worked up (whilst asleep) how to do something. First time was juggling clubs (as opposed to balls- different rythym). The 2nd time was working out how to circumvent the copy protection on Bitmap Brothers platform game "Gods"..... Strange how when you sleep your brain carries on working....

Personally if it's truely close to finished I'd SVA it with the Zetec. Easier emissions (if it's old enough) and sound test and you won't need new clocks etc. It will also be on the road much quicker and more cheaply.

Once it's got a V5 then change for a BEC if you want one.

thanks for the replies!

here is a picture to show how much of a tight squeeze it is in my garage!

Locost - Start
Locost - Start

thinking of getting all the bodywork (which is just placed on) up into the roof of my garage ASAP.

Also thinking of removing wheels to give me more room

And going to buy deeper shelves so I can take those side shelve units out to give more width (or buy a shed and dump it all there!)

I'm afriad I don't know, but its been built with racing in mind - notice the head rest bar and a small bar on the back of rool bar for what I presume is that big red light they have (in bad weather only??), also front and rear tow points and rad mounts nicely welded in place.

only thing is....you have to climb in through the TOP to get in!! passengers have a slightly easier time, but still, I wont be taking my mother out in it!!
