cars already using a chassis

been having a look into the landrover chassis to drop a different shell on it but its rather heavy!
now thinking of a scimitar chassis - is there any other old cars out there that used a chassis i could use to drop a shell on rather than make one?!

Wherebaouts are you ?

I can locate a rolling kitten chassis, you will not get much lighter than that.

Cost I guess is £150, no body or identity but all mechanical bits included.

As the jollygreengiant says Jensen:

Interceptor - comes with big V8 - not a weedy 6 (and it might be old enough to avoid you know what)
