Wet tyres....?
As I look out of the window and see the rain streaming down, I am reminded that the Michelin slicks that I have will not be suitable for all
conditions.
Do people have experiences/recommendations for a wet weather/intermediate tyre. The car is not destined for the road so markings etc are not
important. I'd also like them to be cheap.

This pic is from Simply Sunbeams... I'd have full wets if I were you (on a pair of the cheapest, nastiest wheels you can find...  )

Hi Cant remember what the RGB guys have for next year. But they are having a wet tyre aswell as the yoko 048.
Personally i am happy with the 048's in the wet with a CEC but a lighter BEC may well need a full tread tyre.

I quite like my a539s.... I did use some CR500s which were very nice (but very expensive).

I believe the 539 is now discontinued and has been sort-of replaced with the C-Drive AC01. I've got a set of these but I'm a long way off
being able to tell you whether they are any good!

I've got the Avon's shown in worX's picture. I've used them once and that was the first time I'd driven the car in the
wet and it was a very, very wet Aintree. I can't comment about how much grip they gave but the car would not stay in a straight line!

I've been pleasantly surprised by both A048s and Yoko 888s on damp tracks. I think they work OK as long as you're not diving through
standing water.
I have a pal who used the Michelin racing wets on a wet track, and swears he was lapping faster than he could on a dry track with slicks! 
Could be stretching the truth a little though...
