Helmets

Hi, i need some help getting a helmet as i think il need one for the MNR having no windscreen, i also do a lot of karting and i'm entering the BUKC. What are the cheaper options available and where from? also can any helmet be painted?

Not sure about karting regulations but motor sport generally needs a BS6658-85 approval. Most motorcycle helmets don't meet this standard.

You can't paint a polycarbonate helmet - it melts the helmet material. You might be able to paint a fibreglass one but you should probably check with the manufacturers.

What value do you put on head?

Get the very best you can afford, but saying that, do some research as well, even the dead expensive ones can get poor reviews.

i have my yes sparco formula helmet like this
for sale. the formula is the previous name for the spy 5. it doesnt have hans device posts.
it has the additional front and rear spoiler and i have a spare blued out visor this 1
i have a large head i think this is a size 60-62 helmet.
i have only used this for a couple of enduro kart races. and it has no marks on it.
