Tips for the Audiophiles

I've just seen this excellent audio installation in a Westfield

Should be able to drown out any tune with 30mph + wind noise

Ive tried wearing an ipod in my car (i have an i-jacket for the prupose) and that isnt a high volume. I bet those speakers are almost crap. To me a good helmet system is required.

How do Goldwings achieve decent sounds?
As you are alluding too - what was that owner thinking of? good for picinic - crap on the road.

Note the press studs though, stereo is probably worth using with the hood up.

I did notice that, but the driver will still need to stop the change the channel/volume as it behind the shoulder

Odd the way you can hear the bass at freq's that you would normaly associate with being able to feel in the chest!!

Takes a bit of practice getting them to sit/seal right in the ear canal, but mine are nice and comfy even under a helmet

These you mean

Mine had some sealed enclosure mylar speakers in the fairing and a little sub in the top box - suprisingly good up to 80mph then I switched to the helmet system.

Cheers,
Raz

When thinking outside the box doesn't work any more, it's time to build a new box

On my trip to Cannes 18 months ago, I fitted an amp under the scuttle and a pair of 9" speakers to the top of the transmission tunnel to alleviate the boredom of a 1000 mile journey. They were CRAP. At anything over 60mph, you couldn't hear anything. When you stopped at traffic lights / peage terminals, you and a dozen other drivers were deafened!!
Stereos just aint a seven thang!!
