crush tube info required

Im making some top hat bushes for a non locost related job and as such i can make the top hat accommodate pretty well any size outer diameter crush tube, within reason.

The OD of the top hat bush is 30mm so i dont want the OD of the tube to be over 15-18mm i would say.......... (Csomments welcome)

I need the ID of the crush tube to be 8-10mm.

Is there any stock tubing available that will fall within my limits that i can just cut to length and use as a crush tube?

I dont really want to be having to turn the crush tubes if i can avoid it.

Drilling it out if the wall thickness would allow would be acceptable, but i would rather not.

Thanks

Crush tube

Looking at my steel buyers guide.

1/4 inch pipe/tube looks the nearest you are going to find as a stock product.

Heavy tube is listed as.
8mm nominal bore
Max OD 13.9mm
Wall thickness 2.9mm.

Looking at your post again

3/8" Pipe/Tube also looks to meet your needs.

3/8" heavy
Nominal bore 10mm
Max OD 17.4mm
Wall thickness 2.9mm
