balsa wood supplies
Looking for recommended sites to purchase balsa wood sticks to test new chassis designs. looking for 1/8th by 1/8th square lenths. Also which glue is
best to use.

find a model shop near you.
buy some there..chances of getting them un broke through the post...remote.
you could get 1/8th sheet, 3 or 4 inch wide and cut your own .
where abouts are you, i have loads.

Search for model shops. You must have a local model shop near you or look on the net. I know of a really good one but can't remember the
name!
PVA white wood glue is good. Cyno for instant stick but be quick!! or 5 / 10 minute epoxy for super strong fix.

If you have a hobbycraft near you they sell it.

I use a small hot melt glue gun - be careful though it hurts on skin

oh yeah, forgot to mention.
i would use a thin or medium thickness cyano.

Would suggest hardwood for the roll cage, RAC spec.

Medium thick super glue.
Not gel, or the stuff like water.

Forgot to mention living in wiltshire, will have a look into bath seam to remember there is a model shop there, if not will order from hobbycraft
online. thanks for your help.

If you treat the outside of balsa wood with a thin coat of cyano, it becomes suprisingly strong.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

isn't the purpose of this exercise to use balsa, untreated, because it's mechnical properties are like that of scaled down steel?

use D4 adhesive as pva to flexible and cnyo is to brittle
