Ok simple, where paint scheme is best?

I agree - the one on the right suits the car stylewise, though I personally would prefer a dark blue or BRG instead of maroon.

colour on the left looks faded. right looks much more inkeeping with the style and period of the car

The one on the right for me. That scheme makes it look more expensive, classy, etc. The one on the left looks more like a trials car.

Definately the one on the right.
The one on the left looks like it's been done in red lead.

Well thanks for that though not really surprised to be honest. I got totally slagged off for doing the first paint scheme (I thought it looked like a race car ), this time I'll get it right, plus the paint tended to look orange if not well polished several times a week

not sure whether the question was about the colour or the painting scheeme, i assumed the latter.

neither coloour is to my tast but the one on the left looks like the painter forgot to paint the bonnet area. the one on the sight look compleate and "sleeker" - kinda hard to put into words but better for sure, albeit in purple!

colour

Like a lot have mentioned the one on the right suits that style of car, and the large dark stripe of hood colour visually lowers the car

the bonnet was polished ally, kind of came out funny in the pic a lot of work to maintain the shine.

Thanks to everyone for the advise, rather clear answer in the end ta
