Robin hoods Zero kit
Is it just me who was (sheepishly) impressed with their new offering at Stoneleigh - the Zero?
Anyone got any first hand experience of them in terms if fit and finish from a builders perspective and anyone got any erights for the basic car less
engine ( or with engine and a weight for the engine)?

I wouldnt say no to one. 
Only wish they wouldnt do it as a full kit only.
Much better to source the bits and bobs yourself imho....

I've seen nice pictures of one being built on the RHOCAR site. try going on the site and asking who is building one.

I know a lad who has just built one, and TBH it seems pretty good so i would say not a bad budget 7.

Look reasonable but the front end needs a lot more cross bracing in the verticle plane

They showed this at Exeter last year so it's been around quite a while. I was quite impressed compared to previous efforts, and it looks nice
with the alloy bonnet.
However, the improvements are reflected in the price (or at least the amount of stuff you get in the kit compared to the 2B etc) so I don't
think there will be a particularly large saving over one of the more established 7 clones such as MK etc.

Chassis looks like it has the torsional rigidity of a toasted cheese sandwich. But other than that, for the money it doesnt look too bad.

I'd bet it's no worse, and quite probably better than a Locost chassis.

If you look in my photo archive there's some pics from stoneleigh this year. The tubes around the rear suspension mountings are lacking
considerable amount of triangulation, its all basically open boxes. The front end isnt too bad, but could be a lot better.
The fact of the matter is about another tenners worth of material in the chassis would help a lot. Plus those rear roll hoop stays are going to do
bu88er all to help support the hoop.
