I will never use paypal again
I lost my charge back wth paypal
see here
they say they have no power when it comes to credit card companies, thing is i have done eveything that i was asked to do and have no item they are
also trying to add another charge like admin fees, needless to say i have cut up my card linked to account, they said they would meet me half way and
refund £20 of the £36 including £7 admin....
very annoyed i have full details of item delivery so will be phoning them tomorrow!!!

ooooh apparently you need to be happy that the payment you receive looks genuine, there should be a note with the receipt of payment saying wether you
are protected by seller protection with that particular payment.

What sucks is the % Paypal charge.
If they worked on 0.1% commision you wouldn't expect any protection. When they charge a fair wallop it sucks...
Then again, for £0-£1500 transfers they charge 20p + 3.4% which when you consider what banks charge for credit card purchases is quite cheap.....
Still sucks when you get stung though...

If you dont except paypal, it means that you cant list on ebay - now ebay and paypal are in bed with each other they say for "security and buyer
safety" you have to take paypal - what it really means is that ebay makes an extra few % off each and every sale!
I hate ebay, and sincerly hope a decent quality of competitor arrive on the scene - I think ebay would be SHOCKED by how fast they loose out to a
company with some moral fibre.

The bastards tried stealing £1200 from me. It took 8 months and the FSA to get it back, but i did .
They are utter utter c*nts.

Only winners in Ebay disputes are Ebay/Paypal.
Seller has zero power, the buyer only slightly more.

Have to disagree, the buyer only has to claim they have not received an item, paypal will refund whatever proof you proved, look at scootz to, 2 neg
feed backs out of sheer spite, as a seller you can only leave positive, explain to me how that one works ?

Recently charged me £8 for recieving a deposit on a car i was selling of £200.
As soon as theres an alternative im cancelling my account on principal.

I had a recent auction pulled by ebay because although to comply with their requirements I had stated paypal accepted, I offered a discount to anyone
NOT paying by paypal and said I'd prefer not to take it period.
Or in other words - do what we say or we'll take our ball and go home.
Used to love ebay, it was a place of bargains galore and idiots with more money than sense where I'd get items I actually wanted for far less
than value.
Now it's purely a way to advertise poo I can't be bothered to walk to the bin with, and pick up bargains from morons who can't work
out how to list. Just picked up a load of spares for my Dad's mower that must be worth £300 for £14.50

On the bright side, as a buyer, you can't lose. I'm happy to buy on eBay using paypal but I wouldn't sell anything on there.
