Link forwarded onto a couple of other forums, so hopefully a few more hits and questions.
Imagine what it would be like if there were no hypothetical situations.

I do worry about Ebay though. Increasingly people bid way above the going rate, there's load of scams going on, half the stuff is hooky, the
other half is poor quality. Both Ebay and Paypal charge shed loads for the privelage of them acting as pimps and when it all goes wrong you have jack
sh!t come-back. And when it does trying to sort it out is a PITA because you can't speak to anyone.....
Think I'll start going to car boots for low-quality or hooky gear at least then if I get done I can go back the next week with my collection of
baseball bats (to sell obviously ).

Iv given up on the c***s. They have pulled 5 of my auctions in the last 3 months which have had nothing against ebay rules in the listing and iv lost
my fees for all of them which is over 50 quid. Iv emailed and emailed them but they wont sort it. Now theyr after me emailing me all the time
because i wont pay there fees i owe. My account has been limited. Wankers.
I have loads to sell which im gonna take to a car boot and sell it all to the imigrants. 5 quid a pitch to sell as much as you want sounds good to
me.

Yeah, but they haggle over 10p items. I've done a few boot sales, most people say '10p, wow, thats a bargain.' I have even had
people give me MORE than I was asking for. But the eastern europeans all haggle, no matter what price. If I offered something for free I swear someone
will ask me to give them some cash too.

If I was any good at web design, I'd be in there - I read all the time about un-happy punters and I'm sure that if a decent competitor
started operating the migration would come supprisingly fast.
Anyone on here fancy the challenge?

I'm very surprised no one has. I've heard of other auction sites but never greatly advertised.. But then was on the MIL's computer
this afternoon and noticed she had some malware
a window opened like the history folder called shop snoopper or something at the side of the ie window but strangely everything on it was an ebay
listing with something to do with whatever the webpage was!!!!!!!
What you think of the chances if someone started up one of them downing street petitions they'd take notice??

My saga to continues, currently with the FSO, financial services ombudsman, they make it so difficult in the hope you will give up, faceless
organisation with cut n paste answers.
Who actually owns ebay ? Both them and paypal are a law unto themselves, a line to watchdog may be worth a shot, there is enough examples on here let
alone out there in the wider world ?

bit worried about what the last question i got...
Q: You do realise that eBay are going to charge you a final value fee on this nut, and by the end of the auction it'll have been bid up to
9,999,999,999 quid so the eBay fee will bankrupt you

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

1000 views on ebay just isnt enough! Somebody with free time ought to spam all the news sites they know - get it to a million views. This
'protest auction' ought to be inspiring others, setting precedents and changing the world for the good of mankind.
Am surprised it's still there though...
