Remember the 'Rubber' XR3 Spoilers From The 80's... ???

For some reason, I'm thinking that it wasn't actually rubber, but it was a paint-product that gave this 'rubber' effect. Can anyone confirm?

I was just wondering what a black 'rubber' car with various gloss accents would look like!

Thet were a foamy sort of rubber that would soak up water and make the tailgate smack you on the back of the head when you were trying to put a small fridge freezer in the back.

They had very similar ones on the tailgates of MK3 Capris too - definitely some kind of rubber which, if I recall, was almost impossible to clean successfully - especially when they developed a seemingly inevitable light covering of moss....

you could always use Blackboard paint, then you can alter the look of your car day to day with some coloured chalk
