info on parts for locost

can u use capri bits instead of cortina for the locost (would be easier to find) ie hub etc also whats that insert ive seen for the cortina hub?

You can use the Crapi axle (I did on my first book built car, in about '96). ISTR it's a little wider.

The Crapi also has McPherson struts, and you can't separate the hubs from the struts, so you still have to find Cortina or Sierra uprights (the insert you've seen is for plugging the big hole left when you take the strut out of a Sierra upright, and allows a top balljoint to plug into it.
