O/T VW bluetooth query
Got an 07 golf with multifunction steering wheel, its supposed to operate a bluetooth handsfree system. Problemis none of the dealers i spoke to know
anything about it they try to sell me another kit. Dont suppose anyone on here knows anything about it.

Yes, the hands free applies to the phone, not the steering wheel
KEEP HOLD OF THE STEERING WHEEL
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Found this on one of the 3rd-party vendors' site in case it's useful:
Linky
Or is it a more general problem - pairing your phone, no audio, etc.?

We have a golf in our fleet and although it had the button on the steering wheel the handfree bit didn't have the kit fitted and so didn't
work. Might be worth checking that it has been fitted.
Cheers

My Mitsubishi has 3 buttons on the wheel. One with a head which is used for setup and making a call, one is a phone off the hook for answering a call
and the final one is for hanging up.
If i press the head with a head its goes into bluetooth mode and then gives me menu options.
What buttons do you have on the wheel?

Does you Golf actually have the bluetooth pack installed though?
Do a search on your phone for active devices and see if the car shows up. You will then need t pair the device (the code will be in the hand book)
it's not until the phone is paired will you be able to control it from the MF steeringwheel.
Imagine what it would be like if there were no hypothetical situations.
