Right as requested another meet suggested at the same pub as last time;
Thatchers Arms @ Mount Bures, Essex C08 5AT(01787 227460 - www.thatchersarms.co.uk) that's got a lovely car park, oh and the beer and food are
good too.
So does anyone fancy meeting up?
I propose Friday the 8th JUNE @ 6.30pm onwards ???
I wonder if we can get more than last time???
Rich
P.S> Please note that as I will be in Hong Kong and China next week and Spain the week after, replies to this thread cannot be
guaranteed!
Rich
Should be able to make it for a little while if the weathers good
i'll post it up and see what we can do.
Would be nice to get a some flow between the different Essex groups.
I am still in build but hope to turn up in the tin top.
Sounds good to me
one here possibly.
Why do you allways propose meets when I am on late shift?
Could make week before or week after but not this one.
Brian
I can make the following week but not the one before.
Over to everyone else............
Rich
Don't mind either date...
Do we have a date yet?
I'm happy with either, but could we book some nice weather. PLEASE.
June 8th is best for me!
8th June's good for me, assuming good weather.
Steve
Can't make 8th June but 15th would be good.
Bump - any decision on the date?
A wise man (known only on these forums by a number..) once said to me:
"Don't give alternatives for a date, just go for one date and leave it at that..."
That being the case, and in the absence of anyone else putting their foot down, I shall be (weather permitting) be at the Thatchers Arms this
Friday, hopefully with Bob and Richard (Phaeton and Striker).
Please feel free to join me!!
Sounds good to me... I'll also be there, weather permitting...
Well I wont be there.... I'll be stuck at bloody work....
I'll try to make it too subject to a) the weather and b) recovery from my loverly holiday
Sure could have done with my car last week in Spain!!!! Anyone know of any jobs going in Barcelona for a Project Manager as it's easily
somewhere that my hole family would move too tomorrow!!!
Rich
I will try my best to get there, what time are you planning to meet?
6.30pm or thereabouts.
I'll be there if the weathers good.
Steve.
No good for me - got to collect my Dad from hospital
Should be able to make it.
Their forecast today says:
"Friday:
Heavy, locally torrential, thundery rain, will extend across much of the region during the day, clearing from southernmost parts during the afternoon.
Maximum temperature 20 °C."
Rats.

Will not be able to make Friday, it’s my son’s birthday.
Going to Le Mans next week will take some of the disappointment away (and slow the build down even more).
Regards
Gareth
Now they've got a 'severe weather warning' for the period between 10:00 Friday and the early hours of Saturday morning... 25mm - 70mm
rain, with possible thunderstorms...
But knowing the accuracy of weather forecasts, I'll wait until the day.
I'll post a decision on whether I'm going close to 6 tomorrow. Even if it's spitting I might go as I have a roof. That way I'll be there if antone does show....
Sorry chaps - I'm wimping out. Far too wet for me.
It's scorchio here, David.
I'll go...
What a great turn out!!
9-10 cars in all...
Two Libras!!! (BothRed.... LOL!)
Two Phaetons!!
And the distance award goes to Rusty!!
Fantastic home-brew injection!
Quite a nice evening for a drive shame i could'nt hang around much longer, i was enjoying the insults

I managed to turn up - but still wimped out 'cos there were threatening clouds around... left early...
And it's been dry ever since...
One thing I want to know - why do boy racers want to challenge sevens? One the way out I had a Subaru Imprezza on my tail - fun to hear him squeal
his tyres trying to keep up with me on the twisty bits - and some tarted-up Pug on my tail on the way back.
Couldn't be bothered to deal with them... just drove my own journey at the speed I wanted...
David
Sorry I had to dash off early too but at least we all had a chance to have a run out in our cars eh!
So who is up for next week too? Hopefully BKLOCO will be OK for this? Although I must be in London @ 3.30 pm for an important meeting (read -
interview but don't tell my boss) but this should only take an hour or so.
Therefore should be able to make it by 7-7.30......
Have a good one
Rich
Won't be there , I'm off to Newark Friday afternoon and then on holiday the following week
Sorry to miss out, didn't get back from wk till late.
Should be ok for next wk.

I can make any friday, between about 6-30 to 8. Pretty much any other day with a bit of notice.
I'll be there next week Rich, although I may not be able to stay as long.
I'll see if i can get Bob and Richard along and maybe another Striker.

Rats! If I'd known you were going I'd have brought your corner weighing thingy!
Never mind - next time...
Is this still a goer, weather permitting???
Well for me it's dependant upon a) getting back from London in time and b) a dry night.
Both don't look promising so how about next week instead?
Rich
Judging by the weather forecast, you'd better bring flippers and a snorkel
I'm DEFINATELY going to Mount Bures tonight. I've (hopefully) attracted a Historic Rally Championship Mk1 Escort!!
I must admit the weather looks promising after all ..... oooh I said it didn't I.
Oh I'll be there but might be a little later.
I won't be there - I've still hopeful that the weather's going to be good on Sunday, so I'm saving my petrol...

Most acceptable evening.
Warm and sunny.
Just three cars.....
'twas a bit thin on the ground to say the least
Lovely evening though and the drive home taught me that I should slow down more for hump back bridges I took off and landed less than gracefully
....... buying some resin & filler today
Sorry I could'nt make it. Can we still aim for next week?

That bridge would make a great takeoff ramp for jumping 20 London buses!
It could have been a lot worse though - at least my front splitter is living up to its name Otherwise unscathed [phew]
My old Escort used to take off on that hump back bridge.... its great if you know it's there.
