Wheel Arch Liners

Even going slowly up and down the road causes stones to be thrown up in side the rear arches, so i imagine at higher road speeds there might be the possibility of damage?

So i want to line the inside with some sort of material. First choice was rubber - maybe 4 - 6mm thick.

What would be other peoples thoughts?

dont go slowly then!

Thick poly body sealer or plastic spiky door mat would help to reduce the impact

Laminated flooring underlay foam. It's about 5mm thick and very light

oh - i like the under floor foam idea - can get it from b&Q i guess too?

I have painted my wheel arches with a thick rubber solution that is used on roofs for waterproofing. It came from B & Q and I cannot remember the name of it as I am at work. It is not a B & Q own brand though. Two coats gives a nice thick layer but I have not driven my car yet so cannot comment on whether it does the job but it looks OK to me.

Not a bad idea but the stuff ive used comes in big rolls and therefore costs a bit.
What about thin rubber mat used for flooring, ive seen smaller bits for sale at the shows before.

I didnt use anything and not suffered any ill effects.

3k miles at many speeds over many road surfaces and no problems with my arches front or rear.

Once you get going you can't here anything anyway
