Bluejacking

a funny one this! get a phone with bluetooth on it (the radio short range thing for headsets etc), save a # in the phonebook with a funny/rude name (something like 'tosser', then click on send business card/via bluetooth, and search for any active bluetooth phone in range, and you can then send strangers a random anonymous message as the name in a business card! i did it in the italian restaurant the other day, couldnt stop giggling!

works best in busy places, ie trains restarants etc. not my idea but well worth the laugh!

Far better to send a 'friends' phone number and hope some annoyed person phones them

Or, better still, whip out your bluetooth enabled PDA and have some free internet time off them. Apparently.

In order to do anything other than send business cards via bluetooth you need to pair the devices which requires entering the same code into both devices.
Still, the business card thing is funny, i'll have to try it on the train home tonight

I've read articles which suggest otherwise....

Apparently there is software out there which will crack the bluetooth pairing thing. Not tried it tho. I got a P900 all in one phone/PDA thingy so I dunno if it will let me dial up on a different phone.

In case of the pairing security not working I have my Bluetooth phone set to not be visible to other devices - don't want a bill for someone else surfing the net.
