I used to think keeping the car on the trailer was the best way.. sometimes it makes working on it good and sometimes not.
Now that I've lent it out for a bit I can see its just plain in the way!
So, me next mad plan is to store it above the car on the ceiling. Just wondering how to secure it once its up there!
Anyone done anything similar?

We had a trailer tent hoisted up, I let two pieces of 4 inch channel (like RSJ) into the walls across garage and wound it up with hoists then secured with steel cable, never had a problem, just had to bend over to get under. probably weighed 6 cwt. HTH
fit runners to the walls and phenmatic /hydrolic rams to these to life the trailer , and M14 bolts to keep it there!
Tommy Walsh did it to the 1st floor on his ultimate workshop ( Dis channel)
Guy who did my rolling road last time winches his 4 wheel trailer up to the ceiling! He has two electric winches - one front, one back - connected to
a battery - looks dead easy and secure!

We have a boat hoisted into our ceiling, and the big roofbox thingy.
- The boat has four pulleys attached to the roof trusses, then four wires from each corner, round the pulleys, together into two wires, and then onto
a really cheap electric winch.
Works really well. Although the boats only about 200kilos. And the main concern was not to damage it, or the car parked under it.
So you could do simular, but maybe up the grade of winch and support for the pulleys.
The main this as far as im conserned would just be not to drop the ruddy thing on yourself or the car!!

Once you hacve sussed out how to get it up there id imagine a couple of ratchet straps should secure it or add a bit of extra security.
