New job!
maartenromijn - 5/12/08 at 08:13 AM

Hi guys!
I got myself a new job! I will be an account manager for a ship repair yard.

+++
Access to a lathe and milling machine
Easy access to materials, offcuts etc.
I like the new job, technical and international character

- - -
In the difficult time to come I have a 1-year contract only. Also when the economic situation of the yard is bad, they might say goodbye after 1 year.
I won't have that much time to spend on LCB.

Maarten

Well done, excellent news, I think you should impress your new employers, when they see the car that you are making with their machines and materials I'm sure they will give you a permanent job, especially when they open their new car building division.

Seriously though, good news and let's hope it turns out the way you want it too.

good news, like said above. Once they see that you have talents in other departments you may find you get much more than just accounts to do. That's what has happened to me in the past and I ended with more work I can even manage!

You want to make a locost out of off cuts of ship? That will be one heavy car. You could crash through walls, though, without even slowing down.

You could justify it by putting a jag engine in
Good luck with the new job Maarten

Delegate is the key-word!

Before I can crash trough a wall I first need to get the car ready, and more-over, solve the question how to get it registered!

To be honest I am sometimes thinking of giving up the build and buy a registered and running car. I guess that wil wil the most cost efficient solution... Maybe even cheaper then to finish the build and use an existing registration (ref. topic yesterday)

So does that mean you will be building a boat-cost

Yep, and I will be needing a proper engine then!
