Steel Pipe?
coozer - 6/12/08 at 07:54 PM

I'm after some 4 or 5" steel pipe to make a chimney for my log burner.

The puka flue is way over the top expensive.. £40 for a 600mm length???

Where can I get some steel pipe, like the underground stuff utility's use? must be cheaper than the named flue gear.

Even just a short length out the burner then a coil flue pipe above that??

What have you guys used as a locost solution??

Steve

Probably no good Steve but I'll offer it to you, I've got a piece of 4" tube 43" long but I cut it down the middle when I made my bonnet former! You are welcome to them but you'll have to weld em back together down the length!

Cheers

Old hydraulic ram casing from a digger of some sort? I use to work next door to a hydraulics engineers who often had to make new rams as the old ones were right offs, only fit for scrap.
