which one has the r500 in it, been looking on iplayer but cant find it

Sunday just gone (7 December). The trouble with iPlayer is that there are several Top Gears - the new episode, the repeat of the new episode, Best of TG, etc.

Eidt - I just went into iPlayer and searched for Top Gear. I think the one you want is "Episode 6 (new series)"

That clip hasn't got the caterham in it and part 2 has been removed due to copyright infringement looks like the BBC have spat the dummy out

I'll sound like a scratched record here, but I would love to see him up against a recognised one lap specialist. i.e. a top level hillclimb / sprint driver.

At the Goodwood FOS some years ago, Graeme Wight Jnr. showed some very big names some serious speed.

Staying Scottish, I reckon Jonathan Rarity or Les Mutch could both give The Stig a fright.

(With apologies to Athoirs - I know les has daft whiskers and weighs 20 stone, but he's mega fast. )

btw, what engine is it in the r500? They say it's a 2.0 ford engine, then say that it makes 500bhp?

So if the car weighed half a ton.............

It's a heavily reworked 2 litre Duratec.

The R500 is rumoured to be on Top Gear again this coming Sunday.
