I can do stoppies with my "V" brakes, how far would one of those throw you ?

my thoughts exactly, I have cable operated disks on mine and I certainly don't need more braking, especially when off road...

god the chavs have got into push bikes now...next we'll have neon lights and huge tailpipes

This looks good though but I bet it is hugely expensive and looks more than a tad over engineered hmm

might need an engine, didn't they learn about complexity vs reliability from the tiger tank...

They would probably argue its about controlled braking.
You can ram a stick through your front wheel and stop dead.

Blimey!! And i thought push-bike brakes were getting a bit silly with Hope M4s!

OK a pro on the steepest, knarliest DH run in the world might, just might, need that kind of stopping power under one finger, but I suspect most of those will end up on the bikes of the posing loosers who ride along to a local jump spot to show off their rides, debating among themselves whether or not they dare try that 6" drop. Knobs

My old Hope Minis are more than enough for me.
