So, its 06.30 today, Christmas morning and the wife and I are both awake in bed excited and waiting for the kids to get up. After a, shall we say, 'romantic interlude' we couldn't wait any longer and had to go and wake them up.

To be fair, my 14 year old son is pretty keen to get up and stuck into present opening, great! The near 19 year old teenager has 'enjoyed' clubbing with her mates until she got in at 03.30 when she remembered she still had some presents to wrap so was less keen to get up! Again, to be fair to her, my wife managed to coax her up but my God did she look rough! I dare not ask her how much she drank last night!

Anyway - I remember many Christmas mornings where I was somewhat delicate and the kids were bouncing around on the bed. Oh boy did I enjoy enthusiastically singing some Christmas songs this morning and looking at my poor daughters face as she struggled with a delicate head!

Role reversal - its great!!!

Only ever did the Christmas Eve leathering once and couldn't face my lunch so since then taken it easy on the eve! I was probably 19 as well, oh those were the days.

Make sure you force her to eat up all her sprouts like a good girl!
