Morning All,

My dad has a Picasso but he has had problems with the fob for the last few months. The rubber buttons have disintegrated, we have repaired them a few times but it doesn't last long.



A trawl on ebay reveals it is a common fault and even scabby ones fetch over £40! Now as this is Lococt Builders someone must have an idea? Can I convert say a Peugeot one or something?

hard to say what you could cobble the innards into without seeing them.

I have the same key for my 306, and as you say, its a common failure mode.

We have a number of them (mums also got a 306, i had one i crashed, plus spares) so have done a fair bit of swapping around to get good keys to use.

There are four parts to each key: The split case, the remote circurtry, the key blade, and the imobilisor chip.
- There are all interchangable, and i would get are interchangable with the Citroen key parts too. Just make sure when swaping the guts between cases you keep them together and done create a hybrid key!!

Also, if you ring pug for a quote to replace. Be sitting down.
- The keys are £100 each, and programing to the car £80. Plus £20 to actually get the blade cut to shape.
