Caravan storage/pitch norfolk area

In true Locost style, we are looking for a cheap way to holiday this year, don't mind tenting it but have Just been offered possible use of my partners parents 4 berth touring caravan as they no longer use it.

I don't really fancy towing it around the country for a few days holiday but have been told that there are sites that you can keep it on for the whole summer, we have two kids that like the outdoors, we don't need anywhere with swimming pools and amusements etc, just electric hook up and nice countryside for fishing or bike riding would be great.

We live in norths hertfordshire so anywhere within an hour or so drive from here could see us packing up for a few relaxing weekends away.

Found a place in peterborough called Northey Lodge that looks interesting but does anyone know of anywhere else thats reasonably priced, preferably north of here ???

Also, any recommendations for a little extra comfort/equipment that we may need from hardened caravaners would be good as we've never done this before.

Regards Andy

Pentney Lakes near Kings Lynn do seasonal pitches. Meets your requirements for an 'outdoor' existence! I used to do the journey from near J12 on the M1 in about 90 mins or so!

Will see if I can find the details of where I use to keep mine.
