As many will remember the factory built race cars of ST motorsport where all generally in purple. When Ian ran out off purple paint he gave up on the
kit scene to follow his dream of building the car he has always wanted since a lad.
And now he has finished one. Ian will be at the Autosport show displaying the car on stand 6254. further details can be viewed on the web

Tho spotted this on the spec sheet - 5.3L Chevy, quad downdraught webers.... and a 6 Gallon fuel tank! Is there a fuel stop halfway round the
Nordschleife? 
(I'm just griping as I wouldn't get my love handles past the cockpit......)

Certainly a "well built" chassis though. I think Mr. Chapman might have something to say about the tube size and gauge though

True - it's very heavy (600+kg) but I would expect the main reason for this would be safety....you really want to look after customers who're going to pay £50k for a toy....

2009 is about going back it seems,some are a few quid more than others though and some a wee bit more useable perhaps......

I sent the link to my dad (for reference he is a race mechanic that works on F1 cars of that era, BRM and Ferraris etc from the 50's, 60's
and 70's)
He replied back with
'Very nice, what are you meant to do with it?'
I think he means, is it a track only car, if so then there will be plenty of cheaper cars that would be as good for a hell of a lot less. Or is there
likely to be a race series?
Either way, its a hell of a car, and looks spot on.
Looks lovely, very much like a 1966/67 Honda F1.
But the question regarding what you do with it is valid.....as a track day car there are a lot of other choices (Radical, Palmer Jaguar + other ex
racing cars). I can't imagine there is a race series for it and if there is it will get nailed by anything with slicks and wings.

It sure dose carry a high price tag. But if you look at the spec and details of the components fitted you'll see where the price comes from. And
theres the other options to go also Alloy bodywork instead of GRP a hewland box instead of the heavy porsche item.
It will not be affordable for the average guy to justify the price but that is not the market it's aimed at mind it's only 10k more than a
caterham CSR and a darn sight cheaper than say a quality D type replica. It is a car that has been built because even if he had the money he could not
buy an original so making one was his only option. If any one else fancied one he could make a few more.
Not sure if he will do one in the purple / lavander colour.
