I deal with lots of boilers and I have had similar experiences with Baxi.

I would recommend Worcester Bosch given a choice

I had a baxi condensing combi boiler put in 4 years ago and it has broken down once a year ever since. The boiler it replaced was over 25 years old and never failed.

Handy site

My potterton puma 80 breaks down every year (sometimes twice a year) under the yearly insurance over the last 10 years i am sure its had just about every major working part replaced (some parts twice)

I've taken note of the amount of people on this forum that reccomend the Worcester Bosch boilers, i may be nearing a time when i need someone to come and fit one for me.

I've got an old Baxi back boiler, it's been 100% reliable for the last 14 years, and I reckon it was installed quite a bit before I moved in. Not much to go wrong with them mind, unlike poxy combination boilers.
