What do you recon i should do, bought some bike carbs on e-bay 27/12/08 and they have not turned up yet.
I have sent the buyer about 6 e-mails and nothing back, he is a trader and has good feed back, what now?

graememk - 12/1/09 at 06:39 PM

post him a question to another thing he's selling wait for a reply then you'll know if your getting ignored

flak monkey - 12/1/09 at 06:39 PM

Maybe he is on holiday?

Danozeman - 12/1/09 at 06:40 PM

if you paid with paypal start a dispute.

Thatl get him going.

graememk - 12/1/09 at 06:41 PM

maybe he was at the bus stop and someone shouted quick mind that falling piano, so he jumped out of the way and got run over my the number 46 bus ?

Report him, slow post is one thing but not replying to email is another. Depends how good the good feedback is, I've seen people that have over a hundred feedback and its all from one or two other accounts for stuff that cost a penny! Report him! If you used paypal at least your money is safe(ish).

Now someone is just being silly, its the 113 that goes down that road.

It has been Christmas / new year and peeps do take holidays but this is getting on a bit. Try one more time, be polite, point out you just want to know where your goods are and apologise but say if you don't hear back you can't see any other option but to raise a dispute as you've not had your stuff and he's not communicating with you.

Good luck

stuart_g - 12/1/09 at 07:04 PM

I had a similar thing happen just before christmas were emails were being ignored when I was waiting for a refund.

I sent him one last email saying that if I hadn't heard what was happening by a certain date then I was going to start a dispute and leave him negative feedback. I still didn't hear so started the dispute, 4 days later a refund, funny that.

We have a eBay shop.

1 in 100 of the people that buy from us we cannot contact.

Emails and messages get bounced back due to the buyers privacy settings.

Worth checking.

nothing back as yet, i will give him one more day, he has no other goods for sale at the moment.
I was wanting to start my manifold, not that the car is done yet but you know how it is.

cheers

I think that there is no reason for anyone not to reply to an e mail it takes just a couple of minutes.

OK maybe death or hospitalization but bar that sod them lazy gets

mr_pr - 12/1/09 at 09:52 PM

You can request there contact details from ebay. Very easy to do.

Then just give them a call? It is what I usually do. Failing that, paypal dispute. Prob just bouncing emails.

Cousin Cleotis - 13/1/09 at 08:19 AM

The one sure way is to send a message containg your telephone number.

If he is having problems replying and at times as I said above it does happen he will still be able to read your message, if he does and he is anything like us he will think "thank god for that" and be straight on phone to you, if not then most of the above in other posts applies.

hi, what you need to do first is get his details from ebay. this will give you his addess and direct phone number. Once you have done this, and you still cant contact him, then you should start a dispute.
