What do people recon is the most spacious car for similar cash?

Not sure if im wanting to build the striker anymore due to the size of it, as when i went for a drive in it and found my foot was always bent back
when not depressing the clutch. Bearing in mind most of the other kit manufacutres just laughed at me when i started asking questions and it came down
to my age being 20 put me off a handfull of them.
I should add im about 6 3.
So im thinking i might wait till stoneleigh and have another look and sit in bits because 1. Im in no rush 2. because i wouldnt have it finished
before IVA rears its ugly head.
So maybe MK, Luego, Tiger...... ugh i thought i had passed this stage.

my vote for a Viento so much space but i am a little bias, im 6'5" and there is space to spare, yes its a heavy car but there is a lot of space in the engine bay to work on it
I had a real short list of one, altho i could live with it i dont want to invest all the time and money in it if everytime i get out i have my foot pointing in the wrong direction. Plus the longer i wait the more money i will maybe have managed to save.
You should fit in an MK, MNR, MAC#1 no trouble you might need to fit GRP seats as opposed to more chunky Cobra 7s, but that's not a problem.
remeber Colin Chapman was a hobbit so designed his car to fit him and ever since tall people have suffered, not to mention that the averge size of the
population is getting bigger.
I once went to view a tiger and could not get my feet into the foot well!! Likewise a Dax was a tight squeeze and I am shorter than you!
Ofcoourse you can modify these cars, as I hadto with mine but is extra hassle - there is only so high you can raise the steering.
other problem you'll encouter is footwell space - I have to wear pixie boots so I can drive mine. 
6ft4 with size 14 feet and 36" legs in a ST / Aries chassis without problems....
Only issue is the footwell is only a few cm bigger than a size 14 foot so I have to drive wearing converse type boots. Anything with a rim and I
can't get my feet properly in place...
I have tiny little size 11 feet. They hardly fit into the footwell of the Sylva properly, same with my old Locost, the last Sylva I had and also the
Robin hood which I had.
So i bought these at Autosport.
Does this make me a nancy boy of some sort ?

I am 6'6" and fit OK in my MK Indy, I tried a Luego that was pretty good too, but not chance in a Tiger. Barry
Try this thread from the other day. There are plenty (myself including) taller
than yourself who can comfortably fit in these things, it is just a case of the right combo of chassis, pedal box, seats etc.
Strange, cos I found the striker very spacious considering how tiny it is. Make sure you try cars with fllor mounted pedala - I found it made a real
difference....

As said above, try with race boots. I'm only 6ft but always had to bring seat forward in my striker. I know what you're saying about pedal box but forget trying to drive it in trainers, right footwear makes a huge difference. Striker is a great car, you will love it when you get it finished.

There seems to be a misconception that because the Striker is relatively short and narrow that there's little room in them I'm

lot of other kit cars.
Just specify to Mel that you want to raise the pedal box pivot up to allow your foot to rest under the clutch pedal when not in use. Afterall its a
kit car and can be tailored to your requirements!
Also the standard clutch cable arrangement requires too much pedal travel IMHO. A simple cam on the pedal or even switching to hydraulic operation
should cure that problem as well.
Switching to haydraulic operation on a type 9 for example frees up a lot more space around the bell housing. Which allows more freedom to locate the
engine. As my clutch needs replacing its what I'm considering at the same time.
I found my car better to drive with no seat !
My mac1's pedals and footwell were spot on, but with the seat in place I didn't feel so connected and 'in' the car. I'm
6'5" mind.
Seat squabs for me next time !

That said I have got decent padded seats in my Indy with room to stow my laptop, waterproof and small tool kit behind the drivers seat

At 6'3" and 14-15 st with size 13 feet, the seat in my Indy still has 2 clicks left on the runners. They are bare GRP shells though. I could also do with a clutch pedal foot rest, but I'm probably going to pinch fozzie's idea of cutting a flap in the transmission tunnel and folding a section out to create a ledge. That way the tunnel doesn't need to change size/shape, but you can still use some of the space behind the panels.

Well - I fit just nicely in my book Locost! Near-enough 6ft tall, size 11 wide feet.
Mind you, as I built it for no-one but myself, it ought to fit me...
hmmm think i may go back and have another go in it sometime next week, and speak to him properly which is something i havnt had chance to do... i like the idea of puting a bulge in the tranny tunnel. Im assuming it utilises the sierra pedal box, if so stands to reason i could cut n shut the clutch?!
