Evening all.
Not many of you know me, and less know what has been going on in my family in the last year.
My missus was diagnosed with invasive Breast Cancer last April and has had a pretty torrid time dealing with the surgery, all the chemo and radio
therapy in the last year.
All throughout it she has been really positive and frankly has put me to shame. All the petty whines and gripes I have about work, or kids not tidying
rooms really have been put into perspective.
Just before Christmas all the "aggressive" treatments finished, she is now on drugs for at least the next 5 years.
As we walked out of the hospital after the last radio therapy session she announced that she was going to do a sponsored sky-dive for Breakthrough
Breast Cancer - and that is now what she is doing at the end of May.
She aims to raise as much money as possible for the charity and has set herself a target of £400. If you fancy sponsoring her that would be great, you
can click the link at the end of this post - I feel a bit odd posting this in a public forum, but every penny counts!
If we sort out the Lydden track day in March I will buy everybody a beer!
Cheers
Martin

Well done for going for the jump. To go through what you've been through you have to be so brave that I suppose a jump pales into significance!!!
But good luck.
The post was particularly poignant as a close relative had a CT scan a couple of hours ago to see if her cancer has come back
Your post was quite inspirational and gave me hope when I was losing it, so thank you!!
Done, best of luck to your wife and best wishes to all your family.

Wow - we have been blown away by the generosity and kind words. You guys have been great. Deb is overwhelmed by the kindness of people who have never
even met her. (Even said I could spend more time on Locostbuilders )
The jump is in May and we will keep you all posted. The charity site will post you something, but we will also post here as well.
