Working rev counter !
clairetoo - 30/1/09 at 09:20 PM

After a full 10 months on the road with no working rev counter (despite even giving in and buying one) , I finally got one in , and working
I couldnt find one I liked here (VDO 100mm , 8000 rpm) I decided to take a chance on buying one from the states , and it came today (with a £22 customs charge )
And it's allmost scary watching it hit nearly 8000 before changing gear - I knew it pulled well at higher revs , but seeing it in front of me is amazing !
Maybe I should of got a 10000 rpm one

I was a bit worried whan I realised my rattly old Zetec was hitting over 7800!

I used to have a 323 with that V6 engine in, and that seemed quite happy to take the abuse.

Strange thing is...............the Probe is supposed to make peak power at 5600 rpm.............?
Just when mine starts to really go

I bet that engine sounds amazing with the throttle bodies and exhaust.

Especially near 8000 rpm!
