looking for a cordless phone with built in answering machine and caller id,any recommendations?

It's my understanding that virtually any of the ones with a display will do caller display, but only if you pay BT for that service. I don't know of any that will do it unless you pay, although I may well be wrong

I bought a Siemens Gigaset SL565 for my parents. Their old cordless had really bad sound quality and buzzing noises, Siemens one is great quality and built in answer phone

Dont know about all the extra fancy features, but we have a panasonic deac digital cordless here, bought on the back of a very simualur unit we have had home. Both seam excellent, far beter than the older analog ones.
