just been thinking about trips out for the summer and possibly setting up a few evening drives etc but i wanted peoples opinions about travelling
distances and driving times, i was thinking about looped routes so obviously we don't drive miles away and end up in the middle of nowhere. so
here is my question,
how far do you drive before you stop for a pint and then obviously drive back?
i was thinking around sort of 20-25 miles drive, which on the back road would probably equate to 30 minutes driving, then stop at a pub for nosh and
drink, and chit chap. then a similar drive afterwards depending on light
what do you think? open discussion......
20miles i would say is alright. it depends, do you want a good drive, or do you want a good meal and chat?
Ill deff be up for that (Im shaun who was at the meet btw lol!)
ok now worries shaun, i'll gonna do a few i think but will have to get mine back on the road first, im going at the megasquirt tomorrow!
My favourite drive is 75 miles there and another 75 back. Up early, out to the coast, breakfast, back again.
I've organised a few for the South Brum meets. We used to do about 25-35 miles to a pub and similar to get back.
If you start around 19:30 on a Summers evening and spend between 1/2 - 1 hour in the pub you'll get back around 22:30.
