Was planning to drive down to Spain starting next Monday in sisters '95 Laguna - just received a phone call saying that the inside of the car is
well and truly wet, looks like the heater matrix is shot.
I'm hoping to replace it rather than just loop it out, but changing these is never easy - just wondered if anyone has done one in the past, and
how long it took, as I'm not going to have too time much before Monday to do it. I'm starting to wonder if this trip is jinxed.........
book says 1.8 hours (double that in English money) or 7.9 with air con

No aircon, so 1.8 hours sounds like it isn't a complete dash out job.......may not be too bad then. Just spoken to my local parts place,
apparently there's at least two different matrix's fitted to these, and you have to remove it to find out which one you've
got......bugger, I was hoping to get one ordered.
Trouble is the car's currently down in Brighton and I won't be able to get my hands on it till Thursday.....
I believe that as it is a right hand drive car you don't need to remove the dash. You have to on Left hand drive ones as the pedals interfere.
its 1.5 for LHD and as its french i imagine the matrix comes out on right hand side, its a job i have always tried to avoid
u2u me the reg and I will tell you wether its a valeo or behr unit.
no aircon is simply drop the glove box and you will be able to slide the matrix out.
Air con models had the pipes running down the side of the heater unit so the heater has to come out.(or cut a hole in the bottom of the dash and save
yourself about 8 hours work lol)
Thanks
Shaun
