Ok, so I list a big display cabinet on Ebay. A guy clicks 'Buy It Now' and I hear nothing for 3 days. I email him with the invoice and offer
him a second cabinet if he wants it as a nice gesture.
I hear nothing back from him till he leaves me negative feedback saying I would only complete the sale if he bought another cabinet I was
'forcing him' to buy, saying he has an email to prove it - all nutsack as Ebay can see from the messages.
I complain to Ebay (he has no feedback history at all) saying he never paid for the item and then leaves me neg feedback.
They tell me there is nothing they can do about the feedback as it breaks no feedback rules.
And what makes it worse is I cannot leave any feedback for him.
So now I have my first neg feedback on my account (over 250 positive) from a guy who bought an item then refused to pay for it.
How can this be right or fair? So I can buy any item I like, not pay for it and leave someone negative feedback and there's nothing they can do
about it.
It's really pi**ed me off.....
BTW - this is the tossers details if anybody fancys posting some crap though his letterbox:

Should you be out working on the car???
I feel your pain...
I bought some Mach 3 Razors - pay my money. Get an email 10 days later stating that the buyer is experiencing life troubles her father died and would
I bear with it as she was suffering a nervous breakdown. I responded yes ok.
I send another email a week or so later stating that she is due to send the goods out. I respond with compassion and understanding.
Another week goes by - I get an email saying the Blades are in the post - please wait and thanks for the patience.
It's now past the deadline (45 days) and I cannot respond, leave feedback or complain to PAYPAL for my money back.
Her/his name is poppynpudders999 - he/she is a scam merchant but I can't let anyone know about it.

He/She is so convincing - so in future if I dont get my goods within 10 days I leave negative feedback and report to eBay.
Honestly - some people...
Steve
I don't sell stuff on eBay. They are biased against sellers and there's no protection against being ripped off.
i would keep compaining to ebay, they may eventually listen, as you have given them lots of your money in listing fees and the buyer hasn't.
I'm suprised its taken you guys so long to realise that ebay is full of fraudsters, don't you remember this?:
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/10/12/ebay_wales_fraudster/
I remember seeing an interview with the little scrote and he actually phoned people up telling them how much he was enjoying the holiday he was taking
with their money!
Isn't there a method whereby one can respond to bad feedback? I'm sure I've looked through detailed feedback and seen responses from
the seller.
I know it doesn't help the feedback score but if I wanted to buy something I would not be put off by a 99.something% score, although I probably
would look to see what the negative was about.

Yeah - did leave response to his neg, don't think it will affect my Ebay sales, just bloody annoying.
And I have to say the only tosser I've come across in over 250 transactions.... usually people are really helpful.
Right then! Best see what crap I've got to post........

Commiserations Jasper, sellers are wide open and very vulnerable on eBay, its just so easy to take the pi55 as a buyer and a seller can do nothing
about it.
Very unfair system but what can you do ? Cut your nose off to spite your face.
We have 3 negs, non of which we believe are deserved except maybe the last one where we genuinely made a mistake and posted the wrong item.........
We did send mistakenly the wrong item, but the buyer never contacted us once, just negative feedback, I emailed him several times after he left
feedback still wanting to rectify the situation and he as not replied once, silly thing is we still have his money and the item we should have sent ?

Errr, not quite "full" IMHO, it might be if you're a bit hard-of-thinking, but most scammers are blindingly obvious.
The vast majority of ebay people are great, it just that people shout loudest when something goes wrong![]()
