Finding car history?

How long does the DVLA hold details about cars?

Would they be able to give me a list of all registered owners over the last 37 years?

How else could I discover information about the car?

I am more intrested in how many owners its had, and where they lived... For no other reason than random curiosity!

Data protection will probably prevent you getting any info from DVLA.

I managed to trace some but not all of an MG I once had through owners clubs.

what car is it?

you could send a letter to the previous owner asking if they had a copy of the cars last log book and owner before them’s address, and so on...

1972 TVR... I have all the papwerwork from the previous owner in Bath, but no leads from there...

All I do have are some photos from 1987 when the car was repainted....a happy looking chap posing next to it...

I just wrote to the DVLA, I think it cost me £5 if I recall and the sent me a big envelope with everything they had on the car. Included info on alot of previous owners, plate changes etc.
