Pheasant 1 - Focus 0

anyone know what a Mk1 focus mirror costs ?

blakep82 - 18/3/09 at 08:41 AM

i'm guessing to pheasant didn't come off too well either?

It did it with a baseball bat!
Mate of mine hit one on a dual carriageway and it completely demolished his screen!

You DID go back for the pheasant and put it in your boot for consumption later, didn't you?

When we were younger we used to go round the country roads in our Sherpa just grabbing pheasants from the roadside (alive) and take them to our local butcher. Probably wouldn't get away with it nowadays though.

Probably too stupid to realise that it was dead...

...pheasants are DUMB animals!

Assume it was a male - IIRC its the time of year when the male's have only one thing on there small minds and its not self presevation .

I got 2 in one go a couple of years back - I was overtaking someone and they ran across the road - if they'd have carried on I'd have missed them, but they stopped in the middle of teh road and gawked at me - I didn't have anywhere to go and slowed as much as I could, but there was a massive cloud of feathers behind.... stoopid birds...

If you hit it - you're not legally allowed to collect and eat it. The person behind you is ....

So always remember to follow the bloke who hits the pheasant!

True, if dear isn't shot well then the adrenaline is allowed to flow and makes it taste like... well... wee very bitter taste to it

There's loads round here in the lanes. Im sure they have a death wish as they like to just run out infront of the van

I know the feeling, struck one of the stupid birds on Monday. Luckly the mesh folded in and took most of the force.

Not too bad as I was doing around 60mph
