Why do you think that?

I thought it seemed ok. Seemed to encourage overtaking... the one thing we all moan about that's missing from the modern sport.

Cheers,
James

I am not opposed to gold medal system but think it will encourage team orders

I think that because
If a driver wins 7 races and crashes all the rest of the year and another driver wins 6 races and finishes second in the rest in my eyes the 2nd driver is far superior to the first so the second driver should be the champion

They want to bring in cost cutting and dont allow team orders but then come up with a rule that encourages the limits to be pushed even further by rewarding driving harder and worrying less about reliability. Its also beneficial for one driver per team to take the wins.

That is really decisive management. No wonder the sport is dying!!

You cannot promote overtaking on cars that CAN'T overtake!!
