Is your house on it ?
Had a look yesterday on google earth which I just installed on this machine.
Our car park at work is on it and you can see everyone's car in full detail.
Another member on here whose house I pass every night on the way home is on it ( no. plate not obscured).
Another friend's two car garage is clearly visible from the street view.
Is it a good thing or a bad thing ?
every time i walk down the street, i can clearly see other people car number plates, and every time i drive somewhere, the car behind me can see mine
its not exactly a threat to national security...
The streetview camera car has been round melton mowbray but it's not online yet.

Google Earth has just updated the Aerial / Satellite photo of my house. It must have been taken about November last year.
I can tell this, because my car, my wife's car, the Landie and the skip were all clearly visable. I guess it must have been a weekend to catch
us all at home.
Our house is on Street View. No cars outside, so it must have been a weekday. You can't see through the windows as the blinds were closed.
I'm not really bothered about a photo of the front of our house, as it's a terrace, so it's nothing you can't see as you walk down
the street.
However, because the way the camera is mounted about 12' off the floor when in use, where the camera car has gone down neighbours back lanes, you
can see over the back walls / fences / gates. I guess that would be an issue for me.
Finally it has made me take another look at the front of our house. I know I see it everyday, but you don't really look do you? So this morning
we've been out, tidied the garden, done some planting and sometime over the next few weeks I'll be doing a bit of re-pointing and
paintwork!
Cheers
Mike
It also means I can virtually walk down a number of streets without anyone every knowing .....
where's the benefit, well i can figure out which houses have alarms, what type they are etc before i leave the house.....
cynical, moi, oui!
My house is on there (it's the one in the middle)
And our 2 cars too
