Suzuki TS50X Moped Oil type

Hi gang, wonder if anybody can help, I have a choice of SAE 20W/40 grade oil for the transmission but can have either mineral or semi synthetic what should I be using? Any ideas.

Its a 1992 49cc moped btw and I have loads of 15/40 would this be ok?

Will be fine as long as it's bike oil
