where do they go when the bidding has finished and you haven't put a bid on?
i.e. you were watching to see how much something would sell for!? or you didn't bid in time?!

They stay in your watch list.
Well mine do
They stay in watched items.
But you have to set your view to all in the dropdown top left
They just shuffle down to the end of your watched list. Well mine do!
Thats what usually happens to me too, wasn't sure if they had changed it as this one seems to have disappeared!! never mind, thanks anyway 
They stay in your watched list for a long long time, you may need to alter a filter to include ended items if you set it on your account before. If you know the item number then type that into the search box and you will still be able to see it for up to 3 months after the item finished. If you bid then look in the "didn't win" section of your "my ebay"......HTH
