cosworth turbo or supercharged duretec? advantages and dis-advantages of both please?

Cossy turbo purely because I know it better.

Certainly the easiest after just using the std cossie setup, since the compression is right.

id go for a supercharged duratec.

The cossie engine is old news now, id much rather have a new duratec setup

yea, cossie is old hat, but the head design is still better than a duratec and the bottom end, though it has the disadvantage of being built like a tractor, also has the advantage of being as strong as a tractor!!! (as long as its on a 4x4 block)

I love the sound of the Volvo 5 cyl turbo but seeing as that isnt one of the options you are giving i'll say Supercharged ZZR1400!!

Duratec for me too. Cossie are good but old.

Cossie is a proven engine that was used in a production car, therefore all faults are known. It might be old news in terms of what others have done in the past, but I'm not one for doing things just because they're different - the performance will speak for itself.

For a 7, supercharger over turbo any day. I don't want a big hit of boost mid corner, so a supercharger would give the feel/response of a bigger engine, without the weight, and no lag....

Why Alex, have you decided to abandon the boat anchor?
