Well I spent some time working on the Indy. (SVA'd 2 Year ago and only done 600miles due to lack of use)
1 Cut the template for the windscreen
2 Removed Scuttle (GRRR tiger seal)
3 Sourced (from a L/R 110) and fitted a lucas Wiper Motor under the scuttle
4 Wired in said Motor to Column
5 Found a wire off on Megajolt
6 Modified megajolt to add in tps
7 pulled tps wires through to megajolt from Engine bay
1. DA'd all the new pannels fitted to remove the black preserver.
2. Masked engine bay / interior, and etch primed.
3. Dry flatted primer.
4. Applied 1st 3 coats of colour.
Hopefully the easter weekend will be warm and dry enough to wet flat and final topcoat it.
Went for a ride on the motorbike
Washed missy’s car then had a nice picnic on the beach and walked the dogs
Spent Sunday up at the r/c plane club flying a few models and getting a tan
Came back and me and missy watched a film
Picked up Kit from Mac#1 on Saturday.
Upset the 'other half' on Sunday by making a start on the floor panels. (a good weekend).
I had 3 short drives in my newly registered MAC#1, just on the back roads as I have no cycle wing brackets yet, waiting on MAC#1 to deliver.
Great fun.
Also started tiling the bathroom
I welded up the chassis for my three wheeler.
Managed to get sunburn from the Mig as I was wearing short sleeve overalls.
Kipper.

but no pictures...
Welded up a bracket to support a large aerial rotator (aerial is 10metres x 10 metres)
Welded up a ground plate for the same rotator for a portable mast.
Went for a ride in the Viento, and the tappet rattle is definately sorted...YEE Harrrrr.
Built 4 bandpass filters for my transmitter, now got to fine tune them on the bands they are supposed to work on. (need to borrow a MiniNetwork Vector
Analyser for this).
Went to a Radio Rally, and got a Freeview Digital box with hard disc recorder for £20.
Overall the sun shone, and I have a good weekend.

Removed my sump to drill out & re-tap the drain to M14.
Watched the racing & formation drifting that was the BTCC.
Went to the pub Friday,
Went to a wedding Saturday,
Watched the GP and then took lots of photos watching real racing at Mallory Sunday.
Got wiring loom into some order.
Behind-seat-panel-thing made.
Seat holes made and test fitted (I need to lose weight)
Got brake, reverse and handbrake warning lights to work.
Possibly got fuel gauge to work, maybe.
Released the blue smoke from a few fuses and a ground cable.
Fitted steering column using shiny bearing.
Discovered old battery is completely shagged.
All in a pretty good weekend, apart from the blue smoke.
I leaned a few things this weekend:
1. It's virtually impossible to TIG weld outside.
2. It's difficult to MIG weld outside.
3. When it comes to repairing holes in the bodywork of an old BMW, I'm no good at items 1 and 2 whether it be inside or not.
Once I had learned these things, I put my welders away and got the fibreglass out, followed by some bodyfiller, and my 540i is looking a whole lot
better without the rust holes.
Oh and i did absolutely nothing to the locost. Ahh the joys of trying to do 2 projects at once!

Finished wiring mine.
I do love doing things backwords. You can get in and start it and every thing works but its not even rolling yet.
Then went to play with more wiring for some body elts .
If only it was all wiring and no bodywork
Made my engine not work.
Scratched my head and sulked.
Looked around for a new engine.
Stripped the clutch down for around the 9th time.
Put clutch back together and inadvertantly overfilled with oil which I then had to drain off again.
Finshed off this morning with cancelling my SVA retest on Wednesday
Uber pi55ed off. Nothing's going right
Had a bit of tuition with a Tig welder thanks to Paul (907 ) going to buy one now
Tin top failed the MOT on split cv boot. Couldn't get the drive shaft out the joint so had to use the dreaded cone to stretch the new boot...
I'm fu€%$d now!
Is there an easy way to use them cones?
Use some lubrication , some stretch gaiters come with an aerosol of KY jelly type stuff . Even easier is the air powered stretcher.

Friday:
1. Tax disc and plate permit arrived
2. Procured no. plates
3. Fitted plates and tax disc
4. Had lunch
5. Went for first drive

6. Holed sump pan of auto box and dumped 3 litres of ATF on driveway

7. Sulked
Saturday:
1. Removed pan
2. Bashed the dent out & welded split
Sunday:
1. Watched GP
2. Venison for dinner
3. Scoured interweb for A4LD pan gaskets
Monday:
1 Looked for gasket material suppliers - found Gaskets Direct. Called them about midday to order a
couple of sheets of 2mm Nitrile-bonded cork and spare head set and bottom-end set (check their prices)
Tuesday:
1. Noon - parcel arrives with gaskets...

2. Made two pan gaskets (on the basis that if I have a spare to hand, I won't need it!)
3. Refitted sump pan
4. Bought 5L ATF
5. Discovered the correct way of checking auto oil level
which is start engine, cycle selector three times, wait a minute, dip.
6. Put in 3L ATF, check level - low
7. Put in another litre, check level - low
8. Empty all available ATF into gearbox - check - low

Tomorrow:
1. Dentist
2. Buy another 5L ATF ....

I've had the most productive day I've had in some time. Got my prop and diff back together and in the car. No mean feat when it's a 2 piece prop. Got the engine bay cleaned, stripped a few manky bits of powder coat off and repainted. Then changed the brake fluid. Which much to my shame hadn't been done in way too long. All fixed now though, and I once again have a nice firm brake pedal. Now I just need to get the gaskets to finish rebuilding the engine and then I can get that back in and go for a drive! All in not bad, only cost me £250 for a new gear set and oil/filter/whatnots.
managed to kill my electrics last weekend and have spent most of this week alternating between checking things out on the electrics side with the help
of the guys in the Ford sierra owners forum and continuing with finishing the car ready for SVA on the 23rd
Car still wont start even tho everything seems OK so looking for the biggest dammit tool at the moment to attack the car with in a basil faulty
stylie.
Wife seems to have hidden the 6ld log splitting maul
