Torch Advice

I am looking to buy a bunch o inspection torches for work

Personally I love maglite, they tick all my boxes and are nicely made.

Has anyone used anything better?

Looking for a good spot torch but also for a powerful flood which the maglites may not be up to.

Any have one have any lightbulbs above their heads........I'll get my coat

black and decker LED torch is good got one at christmas.

not sure how much they are now though, i'm guessing not particularly cheap. but maybe a few of them, and a few maglites?

between those and maglites (with LED bulb)

I got one of those 3cree single led torches from Tescos, they cost just short of 8 quid, fantastic spot torch for the money.

I've got a few like these, battery life isn't great, but they're bloody rugged and extremely bright.

Possibly worth running them on rechargables though bit more outlay to start, but should run brighter and longer. maybe.

I have tried many types.

This one does it all.
Extreme amount of light.
You can drive home at night with this if your headlight suddenly blows. (tried it).
Itīs very slimlined. No edges that catch edges in your pocket.
White light, not that blue wannabe xenon cra p.
Fair batterylife.
Small.

Maglite go home.

I bought two of the Tesco's torches, and they are great. (IMHO).

I fix them to the handlebars of my mountain bike and night ride with them.

Gadget Show had a HID torch on last time I watched. Very bright flood but only about an hour of battery.
